Winter 2026

What a great time to be a Lehigh alum.

The football team went undefeated winning the Patriot League and continued teaching Lafayette Football 301. The University under President Joe Helble ’82 is thriving- our best press is in the ratings of colleges for the outcome we strive for. Alumni near Lehigh are welcome to enjoy a myriad of culture whether it be the arts at Zoellner or current events like Compelling Perspectives, Alumni Continuing Education or our own Hagerman Lecture. Note our link to Lehigh’s site. Visit it often and stay connected.

We’ve come a long way since the Freshman Smoker in Grace Hall in September 1957. Ponder the image of the Engineer and the Mountain Hawk created by Joe Bartish for adopting the Class of 2011 in 2007. We chose to mentor them as undergraduates and identifying as 611 we have gone forward as joint custodians of the 611 Merit Scholarship.

So we started out as entrepreneurs – raising operating funds early with blazers followed by the Kingston Trio concert. Foresight in our Mutual fund class gift provided our 1961 Class Scholarship that has helped over 60 scholars, while the Tressolini lectures and the ’61 Professors continue their success . Our latter-day additions include a vital Ethics Endowment that sponsors the annual Hagerman Lecture and the 611 Scholarship.

Now it’s time to make that scholarship permanently endowed by doubling its funding  from $130,000 TO $260,000. Learn how you can pitch in here.
